Video & Image Processing

What we collect

When you participate in a scheduled MGMT Boston recording session (18 + only), we capture:

  • video footage and still images of you
  • your voice and likeness
  • any statements you make on camera

Purpose & legal basis

We use this content to create, publish, and re‑use marketing materials that promote MGMT Boston and its initiatives.
Processing is based on consent (GDPR Art 6(1)(a)) given when you book or confirm your recording slot.

Where your footage is stored & processed

  • Google Drive (USA) – original raw files, encrypted at rest in limited‑access folders
  • Descript (USA) – editing workspace
  • YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram & mgmtboston.com – public distribution channels

Because these services replicate data globally, your footage may be processed outside your country of residence. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

How long we keep it

We retain the original files indefinitely unless you ask us to delete them.

Who we share it with

Your footage is shared publicly on our website and social‑media channels. We do not otherwise sell or rent it. Service providers listed above only process the content on our instructions.

Security measures

  • Encryption at rest on Google Drive
  • Encryption in transit (HTTPS) across all services
  • Multi‑factor authentication on admin accounts
  • Role‑based, least‑privilege access to raw files

Your rights

At any time you may:

  • request a copy of your footage
  • ask us to delete or restrict its use
  • withdraw your consent for future marketing reuse

You may request access to, correction or deletion of any personal data we hold about you, including video or image recordings, object to our processing, or ask that we restrict processing in certain circumstances

Please email mc@mgmtboston.com with the subject line “Privacy – Video Request”.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

When you visit or log in to our website, cookies and similar technologies may be used by our online data partners or vendors to associate these activities with other personal information they or others have about you, including by association with your email or home address. We (or service providers on our behalf) may then send communications and marketing to these email or home addresses. You may opt out of receiving this advertising by visiting https://app.retention.com/optout

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where your data is sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
