Rachel McIntosh, Community Manager @ Venture Lane

You might not be able to tell at first glance, but Rachel McIntosh’s work ethic is forged from steel. She’s an empathetic community builder & operations leader who is armored by the relentless pace of her formative years. She knows how to create value through helping others and has the determination, drive, and intangibles to go very far. She’s already putting her mind to it.

ezCater

ezCater is the world’s “largest marketplace for corporate catering”. They make it easy to order food online for your office. This Boston area late stage growth startup is a second attempt business founded in 2007 by Stefania Mallett & Briscoe Rodgers. The original concept had traction but was unfortunately shut down when they ran out of money before it could reach profitability. The second time, Stefanie & Briscoe had a great insight for their restart*. They pivoted the company from a vertical, single industry approach to a horizontal, multi-industry model.

Sejin Mong, Senior Director of Customer Success @ Starburst

Simple question. How many people do you know who went from teaching in a public school system to leading cloud software teams? Well, I met one. Her name is Sejin Mong, a teacher once and lifelong student now, who traveled from Ann Arbor to Cambridge on a winding road from education to startups to build a career in the world of growing technology companies.

PartsTech

Think of PartsTech as the “Kayak for aftermarket auto procurement”. They match auto shops with major suppliers like Napa Auto Parts, AutoZone, Advance Auto Parts & others to get custom parts through large distribution channels to individual auto shops faster, cheaper, and more efficiently. If you got your brake pads or rotors fixed recently, there’s a good chance they were purchased through PartsTech.

Moxie Apparel

Moxie Apparel DBA Moxie Scrubs is “Innovative Medical Apparel designed for nurses by nurses.” “Everything this brand does is for nurses,” Founder Alicia Tulsee tells me. Born out of Harvard’s Innovation Lab, Moxie Apparel is a lifestyle apparel brand built by an entrepreneur who saw the hard work nurses put in daily over the course of years taking care of her chronically ill Dad & Aunt, two family members who each had extended hospital stays throughout her childhood.

Campbell Brofft, Director of Product @ Jellyfish

Campbell Brofft loves being part of a team. Whether it’s leading from the front as the oldest of five children, walking onto the Squash team in college, or building products for millions of people Campbell keeps taking on big challenges and smashing them for winners.

Stephanie Roulic, Head of Operations @ Goldcast

Stephanie Roulic grew up in Massachusetts before her career as a Founder, startup event organizer, and early startup employee. It’s easier to just leave it there for a new audience than to detail the first three years of her childhood growing up in Moscow after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Or the chapter in Malaysia where she attended preschool & part of kindergarten before moving to Thailand to finish kindergarten and attend first grade. After all that she boomeranged back to the Bay State where she was born to settle in Billerica. Whew.

Stavvy

Stavvy is “software for transactions”. The team has built a digital mortgage platform that helps real estate and mortgage professionals remove paper from the mortgage process. Have you ever bought a home? At the very least you’ve signed a lease. If you haven’t signed a lease and you’re reading this from your parents basement that’s alright too. But figure it out, ok? Anyway the insight I’m trying to relay is that there is a LOT of paperwork involved.

Nick Abate, Director of Sales Engineering @ Salsify

Nick Abate has always been drawn to high growth experiences. Whether it’s the bustle of a city, the hard work and discipline it took to play soccer at the collegiate level, or the explosion of e-commerce over the past decade he’s always sought bar raising challenges.

Paperless Parts

Paperless Parts is “estimating and quoting software for manufacturers”. They’re a vertical SaaS platform catering to manufacturers of all shapes and sizes. They help their customers estimate & generate quotes in order to make smarter, faster & more informed decisions to win new customers and increase revenue. Their goal is to transform operations for “job shops” through software that is tailored to the unique demands of the custom part manufacturing industry.
